On 25 May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation came into force. This Regulation implements a single data protection law across Europe. It strengthens rights to privacy and places new burdens upon data controllers.
The Regulation requires all public authorities to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). This is a statutory role. All schools are required to have a DPO but one DPO can act for a number schools.
The Legal Service is offering to fulfill the DPO function for schools.
Developing School Support Staff
The School Workforce Development team offer a unique and varied service in providing Teaching Assistants and Support Staff in academies’ professional development and personalised training. They offer a combination of bespoke and accredited training which cater for the variety of roles and responsibilities within the wider workforce.
Independent Reviews of Exclusions
The Independent Review of Exclusions Service offer professional and high quality practical support and advice in relation to independent reviews.
Services are provided by our independent, highly trained and experienced teams, who will ensure all appropriate legislation and guidance is complied with.
To carry out licensable activities such as the provision of entertainment and the sale of alcohol, you are required to apply to the Council for a Premises Licence or Temporary Event Notice. You are also required to register with the Council to run small society lotteries. Consent may also be required for events arranged by you which involve street trading.
