Our Service supports schools and settings to meet the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) by providing high quality assessment and intervention in an equitable, timely and integrated way, alongside School, Health and Social Care partners.
Gateshead School Sport Partnership
The Gateshead School Sport Partnership co-ordinate activities and facilitate collaboration amongst our schools, their clusters and key partners. Our vision is for all school age (4-19) children and young people in Gateshead to experience and enjoy high quality Physical Education, Physical Activity and School Sport (PEPASS), building the foundations for an active and healthy lifestyle.
SEN - Monitoring Team
Special Educational Needs Monitoring is a statutory responsibility of the Local Authority.
Our SEN Monitoring Team has developed and effectively implemented a Costed Provision Map, which you can use to record interventions for SEN pupils. This may also be used to evaluate the impact and value for money of these interventions to assist in the planning of future provision.
With changes in schools funding and the move towards parental entitlement to individual budgets, you will increasingly need to become more accountable for SEN expenditure. The use of a Costed Provision Map is an efficient and effective tool to enable you to do this.
